Nearby the picturesque village of Archipoli, surrounded by fragrant pine trees, a true art retreat can be found. It’s a tranquil and harmonious place in the middle of a forest, not only for artists and art lovers, but for anyone who is looking to free their mind and appreciate peace and calmness of nature.
The creation of the Rhodes Art Park in 2006 was inspired by north European parks of art, set in the heart of nature. And we can see how this idea arose, as Rhodes has so much to offer when it comes to natural beauty and interesting places to explore around every corner. Not to mention 300 days of sunshine, combine this with the historical sites that have been an inspiration for many centuries, as well as astonishing landscapes with secret, hidden spots leaving visitors in awe.
The gallery is truly extraordinary and the feeling of connection with nature only highlights the perception of art which is exhibited outdoors and inside the 130sqm gallery.
The Art Park is not only an exhibition place though, but a working place also. The artists who come to Rhodes have here their own space in the outdoor workshops where they can create their masterpieces. The goal is to promote art and music among people of different nations and especially to embrace young artists who are eager to present their work.
The park is a non-profit gallery of fine arts, photography, sculpture and music with the idea of creating a space where artists from all over the world visiting Rhodes can work and exhibit together, share ideas and get inspired by this spectacular island.
