Kolymbia is located 25km from Rhodes town and is situated just off the main Rhodes – Lindos highway. The road of the eucalyptus trees is a testimony of this era as well as the catholic church now being a used as a care hospice.

Kolymbia is an unhurried quiet area and the main industry here is a relaxed kind of tourism. There is no main square here, as is typical in most Greek villages, but there is a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops lining the tree lined avenue.

There is a small residential population and it is a quiet and attractive place to live, which is ideally located, not too far from Rhodes town or the more southern villages, such as Lindos.
