The village of Massari is located on the Eastern coast of Rhodes, just a few kilometres from Haraki. There is not much tourist activity taking place here and the village remains true to its traditions and cultures.
The monastery dedicated to St John and the monastery of Kameiri from the Byzantine period give some interest to the village, and its spectacular bell-tower is a focal point. Apart from the pine and cypress trees that surround the village, and the long acres of citrus orchards, of which Massari is renowned, there are hundreds of olive trees, thus offering its visitor an abundance of hiking paths and days out with a picnic.
